Better posts,
better replies
Xtant helps you polish your own posts. It also reads X on your Mac, at a careful, human pace by default, finds the posts worth a reply and suggests replies. You finish each one and post it yourself, on your Mac or your iPhone.
What Xtant promises
Xtant never posts for you
It fills X's own reply box, compose box or schedule dialog, or opens the X app with your text. You press the button, every time.
Your keys stay with you
Your X login and your own API keys never reach our servers. Your reply history and the posts you prepare in Create Post are saved in your iCloud, never on our servers.
Reads X from X's own pages
The Mac app reads X in a pane you can watch, at a careful pace by default. It never uses the X API.
How Create Post works
you press Post or SchedulePolish it with AI
Start a post in Create Post, in the same editor as your replies. AI suggests changes to your words, and you can dictate by voice.
Pick a good time
Xtant suggests the next good time to post, from research on when posts do well, in your account's time zone and inside your waking hours when it can. It reminds you when the time comes.
You post or schedule it
On the Mac, Xtant fills X's compose box, or X's own schedule dialog on a Premium account for a post of up to 280 characters. On the iPhone, it opens the X app with your post.
How a reply gets suggested
Xtant suggests, you postYour Mac reads X
The Mac app shows X in a pane beside its own panel and reads your feed the way you would scroll it. With Premium+, it reads your XPro columns.
AI picks and suggests
For each new post that passes Xtant's filters, AI decides whether it is worth a reply. For the ones that are, it suggests up to three replies.
You post it yourself
Pick a suggestion and change what you like. Reply on the Mac, where Xtant fills X's reply box, or on the iPhone, where it opens the X app.
Your AI, or ours
set per featureXtant uses AI to pick posts, suggest replies and suggest changes to your own posts. Run it on Xtant's credits, or on your own keys or subscription.
Xtant's credits
The default. Xtant runs the AI with its own keys and takes each action from your credits. Nothing to set up, and you start with $10 of free credit.
Your keys or subscription
Your Claude or ChatGPT subscription runs through Claude Code or Codex on your Mac. An OpenAI key covers choosing posts, suggestions and voice; an Anthropic key covers suggestions. A feature on your own AI costs no credits.
Credits, not a monthly plan
no automatic top-upXtant runs on credits you buy when you want them, and they never expire. Each X account you have not paused costs a small daily fee, whether or not it was read that day. AI on Xtant's credits is paid per action.
Questions that come up
seven answersDo I need a Mac?
Yes, a Mac with macOS 14 or later. Xtant reads X in the Mac app, so a Mac is required. The iPhone app works alongside it: you review posts and suggestions there, and reply through the X app.
Will Xtant ever post for me?
No. On the Mac, Xtant fills X's own reply box, compose box or schedule dialog. On the iPhone, it opens the X app with your text. You press Post, Reply or Schedule yourself, every time.
Does Xtant use the X API?
No. The Mac app reads X from X's own pages, in a pane you can watch, at a careful pace you can change.
Is it safe for my X account?
X's rules say scripting the X website can get an account limited or suspended. Xtant never presses Post, Reply or Schedule on X, and it reads at a careful pace by default. Faster paces raise the risk, and the app warns you before you choose one.
Where do my keys and replies live?
Your own API keys stay in your Keychain and never reach our servers. Your reply history and the posts you prepare in Create Post are saved in your iCloud, never on our servers. The posts Xtant reads and the replies it suggests are held on our servers until you reply or for 12 hours, and text you ask the AI to refine passes through them while it works.
Can I use more than one X account?
Yes. One account reads at a time, and each account you have not paused has its own daily fee. A paused account pays nothing.
Can Xtant schedule my posts?
On a Premium account, on the Mac, Xtant fills X's own schedule dialog for a post of up to 280 characters, and you press Schedule. On any account, it suggests a good time for your account's time zone and reminds you when it comes, and you post it yourself.
